The Bureau provides a 'drop in' advice service which is open at these times. Normally the Duty Adviser who is there sees each person and can often deal with straightforward or quick enquiries. If the enquiry is more complex or needs speciaist advice (eg. for Reposessions or Unfair Dismissals) the Adviser will arrange a personal appointment at a suitable time within the next 14 days.

In an emergency (eg. when someone is homeless or has no money) an appointment will usually be arranged for the same day. (Your CAB can also offer home visits for anyone with a disability who cannot come in to the office.)

Most duty advisers are bi-lingual but if other languages are needed special workers will be on site (Urdu/Hindi and Somali on Mondays, Bengali and Somali speakers on Wednesdays) alternatively a special appointment will be made for a suitable date.
