The Board

Waltham Forest CAB Service is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. All the staff are employed by the Board of Directors. The Board is made up of a mixture of people. Some represent local organisations, there are also local councillors, as well as a number of local residents.

Committees and meetings

One of the main jobs of the Board is to help shape and improve the service delivery of the organisation. Board members sit on recruitment panels. There are is a Finance and Development Committee and a Personnel Committee (which also deals with health and safety matters).

The full Board meets once every two months, and Committees also meet bi-monthly. All the meetings take place in the evening, and are local. There is an AGM every year. The composition of the Board is constantly under review and we seek to ensure that it is a representative body. New applications are welcomed, and training is provided.
